What Is The Usage Procedure For Ativan While Weaning Off Klonopin?
How do you use Ativan while getting off klonipin? My husband was on it for 2.4 years at an ending dose of 0.5mg every night. Our psych doc took him off 4 weeks ago and told him to Ativan 1mg twice a day. He seems to be craving more medicine and really has tough times between doses---shaking, moaning and can t get out of bed. Help

While weaning off from Klonopin, Ativan can be used to decrease symptoms of withdrawal (like irritation). Actually both Ativan and Klonopin are same type of drugs (anxiolytics) so while withdrawal small and tapering doses of Ativan make the withdrawal symptoms bearable. Please stick to the review advised by your expert doctor. Otherwise there is risk of getting addicted to Ativan!
