Hi,

As this electric shocks will be due to nerve root entrapment and need an MRI for the same to rule out any nerve pathology. Any inflammation causes in the nerve will do such misbehavior of the nerve functions.

Using a neck collar will be good and lump will be due to muscle spasm but need a clinical examination as well by a physician to find the possible causes. if the cause found due to nerve root entrapment then with simple conservative management you should do well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
