What Is The Treatment For Webbed And Short Fingers?

Hi

My five days old daughter is having problem in her fingers (webbed fingers and short fingers).

Could you please clarify the probable cause of disease and best possible treatment. 

Also suggest the age, when treatment should be started. If you send me your E-mail ID, I wiould be able to send you some snaps.

Thank you for following up .I understand your concern .Your child has symbrachydactyly. The causes of diseses are unknown. Probably some factors affect developing arm at 4 to 6 weeks of pregnancy.It can observe at patients with Poland's syndrome(characterized by underdevelopment or absence of the chest muscle (pectoralis) on one side.
Symbrachydactyly can be treated with surgery.You should discuss her treatment with orthopedist. Some children can be treated till 2 years. Distraction augmentation manoplasty is helpful in this case.Your child will need to attend the hospital every one to two weeks during distraction

This involves a series of operations
Prognosis for future generations-inheritance is not transmitted.

web fingers are multi factorial hand and fingers defect.they are treated by either plastic ,orthopedic and pediatric surgeons at usually age of 1-2 years of age under general anesthesia.we donot know exact cusse for it.
