What Is The Treatment For Urinary Tract Infection?

I am having chronic UTI s that have been occurring since last July. Three different bacterias only found after 2 day cultures and 4 different antibiotics all running together between 2 to 4 weeks. I am 50 years old in menopause on hormone therapy. Is this unusual or do I need a specialist? I have fatigue with on and off again lowgrade fever, chills, back pain, urgency along with abdominal swelling. Dr. has just done another culture and has suggested a specialist.

Urologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.
You certainly need an Urologists' check-up. As an Urologist, i can assure you, there's some cause for the recurrent infections. And that needs to be checked.Once the cause is known, it's easier to treat and you can prevent further infections.
You need to go after doing your blood sugar, creatinine, and an Ultrasound scan of the abdomen.
Maintain minimum of 8-10 glasses of liquids daily.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
