hi m age is 24.In early(6 week) pregnancy i had problem of oligohydromeneous.MY doctor didnt gave me any med.I consulted another doctor she gave me tab susten for 1 month..now i m 12 week pregnant. Now in ultrasound report i hav a complication that my placenta is reaching the internal os. the prob of oligohydromneus is no more. my doctor has advised me to take 8 inj of nt natal. can i take dis inj coz i hav a doubt that i hav already taken susten so i could cause harm or overdose..plz helf me in that case...if it is still safe for me or not.
Hi, I have gone through your question. Oligohydramnios means decreased level of fluid around the foetus. It cannot be commented upon in early pregnancy of 6 weeks. Placenta usually migrates upwards in the uterine cavity as the pregnancy advances, therefore placenta reaching up to os at 12 weeks pregnancy will most probably migrate upwards later. Tab Susten is progesterone which supports the pregnancy by making uterine environment more favourable for foetus. It has no role in improving fluid around the foetus or any effect on the location of placenta. Inj Nt- natal is also progesterone and has same effects. Progesterone tablets or injections are not harmful, both for mother and baby. So, you can take them as your doctor has advised. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health.
