What Is The Treatment For Swollen Painful Bruise In The Arm?
I was shaving my legs in my bathroom skink. I was standing on one leg & had the other leg up on skink & slipped. I fell on door know & now my right inside arm is swollen & has a big hurtful bruise & elbow is very pointy. I couldn t stop the fall & hit my head that knocked the breath out & I saw stars & then feel hard on my butt. It feels like I hurt my butt or tail bone. I don t have bruising but is a little swollen with fever & I can t hardly walk without major pain & when I sit & get up it hurts very bad & my right leg is really hurting especially in knee & down to the heel of my foot. I ve had 3 previous back surgeries & have cages & disks from my lower back surgeries. Should I go to a er

Painful bruise is likely to be due to a hematoma formation in the area.
From description, a soft tissue injury is likely. You need to avoid massaging the area and take a mild pain killer for relief. Avoid sitting for long hours. Do a cold compress on the area of injury.
The pain and swelling might take over a week to subside. In case there is an acute pain and a sudden increase in swelling then consult your physician for a direct examination to rule out any infection in the area.
