What Is The Treatment For Small Itchy Red Mark On My Left Index Finger?

Hi, about one month I started with a small red mark on my left index finger middle knuckle it also looked slightly bruised. Initially I just thought I had banged it. However as days and weeks have progressed the bright red patch spread and got a lot larger with a difined outline with now and again turned purple in the centre as more thine has pasted it has turned a more dull purple colour, the skin appears tougher and a little scaley. It doesn t particularly hurt it itches sometimes but then feels sore, it stings under hot water and is a little tender if I catch it. Any ideas??? Thanks

Hello,

You need to see a dermatologist for complete checkup and to see if these are present elsewhere on your body. With the given history it seems like psoriasis but let the dermatologist assess it first.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
