I have two questions. Well lately I've been experiencing a sharp pain that shoots through the left side of my chest and once it does I try to catch my breath. But when I do that is hurts really bad and my breathing becomes labored. Soon it passes but it feels like a bubbling sensation under my left side of my chest. Why is this happening? My health record has been clean, I haven't had problems with anything ever. I'm a 20 year old African American young female. The second question is that just lastnight I awoke around 3AM to find that my right side of my arm had this tingly feeling like I'd just gotten my blood pressure taken and alot of pressure running up and down my arm. Like I'd fallen asleep on it or something. But the confusing part is that I slept on my left side and my right arm was feeling like this. It felt cold on the inside so I thought maybe my blood wasn't circulating correctly. Now since I've went to sleep and woke back up it only hurts in the top part of my arm and my right shoulder. My right arm is a little weak too.
Sudden onset of left-sided chest pain at midnight should always be evaluated for heart diseases. So better to consult a cardiologist and get done blood pressure monitoring, ECG, 2d echo and stress test.
If all these are normal, then no need to worry about heart diseases. Sometimes simple musculoskeletal pain can be the cause. So apply warm water pad on affected areas of chest and shoulder. Avoid movements causing pain. Take simple painkiller like paracetamol or ibuprofen. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
