What Is The Treatment For Redness In The Belly Button?

I had my gall bladder removed around three weeks ago, and I think my surgical wounds are healing. There is still some redness though, and the wound on my belly button is redder. There also seems to be a few small red (about a mm in diameter) splotches. The wounds do itch. I've applied both coco-butter and an anti-bacterial cream. I don't think there is pus present, but I was wondering how long surgical wounds generally take to heal or at least not appear red.

Hello,

Nothing to worry about it. Small redness expected after this period, and it may persist for up to six weeks. Just keep wound clean, and it will be fine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Iven Romic Rammstein
