Hello,

I can understand your concern. As you fell off the roof and hit the edge of the skull and you feel numbness in ear area while eating, my provisional diagnosis is that you might have hurt the Temporomandibulr Joint, the joint that is responsible for opening and closing of jaws along with side to side movements of the lower jaw.

I would advise you to visit a dentist or oral surgeon for physical examination of the joint area along with x-ray of the joint to find any injured bony area. You might have to go for MRI too.

If you are in any kind of pain, you can take Acetaminophen 500 m or Ibuprofen 400 mg thrice a day till you see a doctor.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HCM. I wish you recover soon.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
