What Is The Treatment For Mycobacterial Colitis?

I have a sister who has had microbacterial colitus for several years. Another sister suggested this may be related somehow. Numerous treatment has failed to help her in the past. Everything she eats goes straight through her and she looks like a skeleton.

Hello,

In my opinion further investigation may be needed for to confirmed, the disease, inflammatory condition of guts are common, if no symptoms are there then it is nothing to worry, if it is the infection of micro bacteria infection then it comes around with proper treatment, but only thing is condition must have been confirmed, if the weight loss is main concern here, the underlying cause of it needs to be ruled out, it can be micro bacteria unless it is confirmed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain
