What Is The Treatment For Ligment Tear In Knees?

Hi, I tore my knee three years ago, it took forever to get better, now I recently tore it again, also now my ancle is acting up. I can go strait to a specialist , I prefer not to go to a regular doctor who could prescribe pain meds, and come back in a few weeks. I work physical for a living and have to get better fast so I can keep going.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The ligament tear in the knee usually heals with conservative treatment with adequate rest if it is only a partial thickness tear of the ligament. Full thickness or extensive tears need surgical repair.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
