I have had some itching at the back of my head,directly above my spinal cord at the base of my hairline for about a year. At first it was just in one spot, but over time I have noticed that I feel it inching upward about an inch. I also seem to palpate what feels like at times small bumps about the size of the nail on your pinkyfinger. When I have someone look at this, they see nothing. If I have my hair permed or colored, it burns in this area. I have used Denorex shampoo, but this has not fixed the problem. I just want to really brush it hard with a hairbrush to get it to calm down. I do not have dandruff and I do have short hair. Please advise.
