Hi.
Relief by Salmedrol inhaler indicate that your cough of 3 months might have been due to asthma or allergic bronchitis.
If one has a cough for 3 months, this should be investigated. by CBC, blood sugar, urine tests and X-ray chest in two views- AP and Lateral.
The choking episode may be related to the bronchospam - that is exacerbation of the problem.
Also go for AEC tests - pulmonary function tests.
Continue the inhaler and may need additional treatment to treat the chocking sensation.
Globus Pharyngis is to be taken in consideration as well as lymphoid hyperplasis as a probable cause.
