Hello,

You have a history of having a bump on foot after injury since years. Now it has started hurting. Bumps, cysts, ganglion cysts are harmless, and don't cause pain or problems unless they grow and put pressure on other structures. You should not have neglected it. Get it clinically examined by a GP, the cause can be soft-tissue swelling, sacs of fluid, fatty tissue, nerve, vessel or muscle enlargements.

The GP may refer you to a foot surgeon to be treated with a series of conservative treatment and if needed surgery. You will have to go through blood and imaging tests. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected. In the meantime, you can take NSAIDS, Naproxen, one SOS for relief and use cold compression, it is effective. Wear a comfortable pair of shoes.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
