My girlfriend has a red spot that was small yesterday and it got a lot bigger and she says its swollen a little when she rubs sound it. Plus it burns and itches a little this is on her right arm. Could she have been bitten by something? Or is it something different?

Hi
As per your case history your girlfriend may be having either a insect bite or a polymorphic light eruption
My treatment advice is -
1. Avoid sun exposure. Use a good sunscreen lotion
2. Take an antihistamine tablet like tab. Levocetrizine 5mg twice daily.
3. Topical antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream to be applied twice daily.
Thanks.
