What Is The Treatment For An Enlarged Lymph Node In The Neck?

I had my thyroid removed a year ago ( with 12 nearby lymph nodes removed with it, all clean) due to papillary thyroid cancer ( 1 nodule 1cm) I also had RIA after as well. I just had an ultrasound on my neck done with the results being 1 enlarged lymph node with blood flow. Is this lymph node a concern or just something to watch? I also have a sore neck resently but I don t know if that is of any importance.

Hello

The enlarged lymph node can be due to the sore throat or may be due to recurrence of the papillary cancer , you will need a fine needle aspiration and study of the cells from the lymph node to confirm what the enlargement is exactly due to.Please meet your doctor to discuss further management. Please dont worry , you will be fine!

Thanks
