I have IBS with diverticulosis and had one significant gi bleed of unknown orgin. It was maroon in color and very odorous. I now have had a gradual onnset of bilateral groin ppain and it includes intermittent lower abdominal pain. I am using both heat and cold on my lower abd and goin and it helps. Sometimes after a meal I get severe gramping pain there and later have a movement. Thanks you Nancy

Hi thanks for asking question.

Here first of all you could have severe colonic infection like colitis. You can do stool examination which shows pus cells.Ofloxacin and ornidazole combination drug taken for it ..

Stool examination might reveal egg of ameba suggesting amebic dysentery.
Tinnidazole given for it.

Here if still cause not identified then do colonoscopy with biopsy and histopathological examination. It might reveal inflammatory bowel disease or microscopic colitis like picture or any tumour .

Meanwhile take good green leafy veg diet and more fruits.Avoid fatty food.

I hope your concern is solved.

Wish you good health.

Take care.
