What Is The Solution For Toe Sores?

My toe got sore on the top so I thought it was arthritus which I get in my fingers. The joint was sore. I then noticed it was just one area just above the nail that was sore. Not the nail, the nail is fine. I thought it might be a corn as the sore area is about the size of a corn but then when I pressed it some very clear, thick sticky fluid came out. I dressed it and put a plaster on it. It seemed to get better but today it feels sore again and there appears to be more fluid on it. Any idea what this is.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It might be infected toe skin at joint level. I advise to :
- keep the affected area well clean
- wash with warm water and mild soap
- dry it well
- apply iodine 10%
- apply oxygenated water
- cover with medicated plaster

If no improvement within a few days, should consult with your doctor for any further specific treatment.

All the best!
