What Is The Severe Pain And Swelling Behind My Ear?

I have alot of pain behind my ear on the right side and it hurts to put any pressure on that side of my head. It seems to be a little swollen. I went to the ER and they did an ultrasound because I also have swelling in my right arm and hand.fingers and were worred about a blood clot. They also did a CAT scan of my head and found nothing. What could it be?

Hello,

The swelling can be because of any trauma if the history is so. if CT scan is normal then there is no internal injury and superficial pain will subside by painkillers.
