What Is The Remedy For Uncomfortable Stomach And Gastric Problem Due To Antibiotic?

I am a 28 years old, 179cm height and 60kg weight man. I am on a prescription of AZEE-500 antibiotic for 5 days. But since yesterday (second day), after taking the medicine, my stomach has become uncomfortable and gas formation is there, Is this a usual side effect and not a cause of concern? Any solution for the same?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Azee 500 mg ( azithromycin 500 mg ) is macrolide group of antibiotics , usually this is safe but rarely it produces hyper acidity or gastritis ( as may be in your case) . When patient visit my clinic with these symptoms ( stomach ache & gas ) I prescribe them to take some antacid ( containing oxetacine i.e local anesthetic ) but if symptoms are sever they may need pantaloc- D once or twice in day.
Beside this also avoid fried , greasy , spicy foods . Also avoid drinks with caffeine in them.
Hope this information will help you.
