What Is The Remedy For The Darkness And Pigmentation On The Face?

2 months before......i got skitted from bike n got some wounds on my face(only left side cheeks). wounds were cured now but the color of skin has become dark where the wound was. doctor has advised brite night cream. i am regularly applying it but still no improvement. pls help.

Hello,

You have developed post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation. It happens due to excessive melanin synthesis during healing of a wound. Skin lightening creams like the one you are using can provide you temporary relief, however the best treatment is to wait and watch. It may take up to 2 years for complete resolution. Slowly the skin will get lighter and finally match with the remaining skin.
