What Is The Remedy For The Constipation For Which Laxatives Are Not Working?
Hi I'm not sure if I'm constapated or not . But I've taken a laxative in I went from lil nugget poop to smooth long poops excuse my explicit description . In it still seems as if something is still there so feeling like I have to go to the bathroom I go in after nothing comes out I then get off the toilet
Hello, Thank you for asking your question on HealthCare Magic. For constipation, you should start with enough fiber in your food which includes vegetables and fruits. If that does not work, you can use methyl cellulose which is the first line for treating chronic constipation. If that does not work, you can use the other laxatives such as senna, milk of magnesia or lactulose. But please be careful using these other laxatives as they may cause problems over long term including electrolyte problems. Please continue to exercise. The symptoms you are mentioning may be called tensemus which means inability to evacuate and sometimes refers to some rectal pathology. If it persists and does not become better with methycellulose and exercise, you might want to pay a visit to gastroenterologist for appropriate diagnosis and management.
