What Is The Remedy For Cold With Cough And Vomiting?

My daughter has had a cold with tickly and irritating but unproductive cough for several days. This morning she has a very mucousy cough and has vomited 5 times in last 3 hours - sometimes coughs a bit before. Vomit is frothy and a bit white but she hasn't had breakfast this morning. Thank you.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Cough and cold symptoms are usually viral. The cough can progress from a dry to a wet cough.

Persistent coughing can result in vomiting. The frothy appearance may be due to the mucus that she is likely swallowing.

Since the cough is wet, the use of a mucolytic to help break up the mucus would be helpful. Your doctor would be able to prescribe one based on her age and weight.
Some examples are bisolvan, mucomyst, aeroflux, robotussin

I hope this helps
