What Is The Reason For Having Tiny Lump Behind Pinna Of Left Ear?

Ihave a tiny lump (0.5 cm X 0.5 cm) behind the pinna of my left ear. It has appeared within the last 3 weeks and it is tender on deep palpation. I sleep on my right side most of the times. What could be the most likely cause? What investigations and treatment are recommended?

Hi,
Thank you for your query.
Tiny lump behind the ear pinna could be due to an enlarged lymph node or a swelling in the skin.
Physical examination will tell the nature and cause of swelling.
Investigations will depend on the examination findings.
First I suggest you to consult the doctor for clinical examination.
Hope I have answered your query.
Regards.
