Hello
Frankly speaking, there is no permanent cure for allergy .
If once you contract allergy , there is bound to develop allergy , so avoidance help great.
2nd answer , yes to some extent allergy is a hereditary disease.
These measures may help you.
Wash all bed covers in hot cycle every week.
Treat carpets w/acarcides or tannic acid.
Clean upholstered furniture thoroughly or replace w /leather furniture.
Keep dust-accumulating objects in dust cupboard.
Replace curtains /blinds & easily washable curtains.
Use vacuum cleaner
Encase mattress , pillows & quilt in impermeable covers
Keep pets out of house & living bed rooms
Install air conditioner or dehumidifier
When such patient visit I prescribe only montelukast +bambuterol tablet once or twice in day depending on severity of symptoms .
I don't prescribe defcort like drugs because these drugs are steroid and long term uses produces untoward side effects.
Hope this will help you.
Hot coffee and steam inhalation also provide instant relief.
I find this answer helpful
