What Is The Normal Recovery Time After A Quadruple Bypass Heart Surgery?

I m 2 weeks out from having quadruple (actually 5) bypasses on my hreart Doing well, except when I cough, which I know I have to do, and then the pain is unreal. What is the normal recovery time? I was lucky, no heart muscle damage. What is the normal take home drug for pain management during recovery time? Percocet is what I have, and it works most of the time. Thanks

Hello,

Cardiac surgery of CABG takes couple of week for healing if no complication occurs, else it is depends upon the post surgical events happening. The medical history and other risk factor, also time period varies accordingly. For the pain any simple analgesic can be tried like Acetaminophen.

Hope I have answered your query,
