Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 25 year son who was in perfect health was just diagnosed with Myocardial Bridge. The report reads the midportion of the LAD courses within the myocardium of the anterior left ventricular wall, approximately 1-2 mm deep with relative moderate narrowing of this intramuscular portion relative to the more proximal and distal portions which are extra muscular. Myocardial bridging with luminal narrowing of the intramuscular portion. Please explain
After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that myocardial bridging is a contraction of coronary arteries in systole which sometimes cause chest pain and is not a life threatening condition and can be managed with beta blockers.
It’s recommended for you to consult your cardiologist personally for further treatment.
Hopefully this information will guide you properly.
Kind Regards Dr Bhanu Partap
