What Is The Life Span Of Sperms?

Hello, I am 28 yrs and my first day of last period was 1st june. My periods ended on 3rd june. From 5th june (D5) doctor gave me siphene 100 mg twice daily. On D10 I was advised of follicle monitoring. On day 14 my follicle size is 19mm 16 mm and 15 mm and endometrium is 08 mm. On D14 doctor gave me hucog 10000 at 13:00 hrs in afternoon. Told me to try for pregnancy for next three days starting from today. I know that follicle would rupture in another 36 hours. What should be the best time for love making so that it gives a positive pregnancy results. What is the life span of sperms? Can anyone explain me the chromosome structure difference in sperms and their life span. I am trying to for a baby girl. What should I do to avoid getting pregnant with a baby boy. Please help.

Dear madam,,I understand your concern.in my opinion ovulation occurs after 24 to 36 hrs after hcg injection is given.so in your case as it is given at afternoon 13:00hrs the best time will be next day afternoon 13:00 hrs to night 13:00 hrs.but ofcourse its good to participate even before and after this prescribed time as said by your doc ie.,3 days after injection.life span of sperm is 48 to 72 hrs.usually a process called spermatogenesis occurs in male resulting in the formation of 4 spermatids.each is haploid ie.,halfway number of chromosomes two with23X and two with 23Y.these spermatids morphologically transform into sperms.and in female it will be 23 X only.so only one sperm fuses and result depends on combination.like if 23 X of male fuses result will be 46XX(girl).and if 23Y fuses result is 46XY(boy).and sorry thats all depends on nature and nothing in our hands.so relax and I wish ur desire come true.all the best.dont feel anxiety about pregnancy and dont feel tense during intercourse due to timing.just be free like your normal thing.
