What Is The Life Expectancy Of Patient With Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer?

my daughter just came down with stage 4 pancreatic cancer which has spread to the liver and 1 lymph node. She was in the hospital for 1 week and is just now going for chemotherapy.. She looks healthy and is eating pretty good. Is there any chance of her surviving and is there any recent medications that doctors are using? She is 44 years old . Please respond. Thank you.

Dear- thanks for using our service, I am very sorry to hear your daughter's medical problem. Unfortunatelly, pancreatic cancer stage IV has very poor prognosis. However, it depends of what chemotherapy she is getting,it will be the survival time. The prognosis for this type of cancer is less than one year.
I hope that my advise has been helpful
