What Is The Effect Of Strept Bacterial Infection After Knee Replacement?

My Ortho doctor to give ne a second opinion on a knee fusion. I had a knee replacement and ruptured patella tendon, Two years later I contracted a strept bacteria that went to the knee replacement. Oct. 2014 got another bacteria which was worse than the last one, Two months of antibiotics in a pic line, knee replacement removed and cement spaces placed. Now that my blood work culture is clean, my doctor wants to do a fusion. My leg will stay straight, I feel I will not be able to do my normal things anymore, I am restricted as it is because of the tendon and no stability when I walk. Please help!
