What Is The Difference Between Findings And Impression In An MRI Report?
Here is a very simple question to which I've been unable to find an answer on the Internet: In an MRI written report, there is a section entitled "Findings" and a section called "Impression". Please explain the difference between the findings and the impression. Thank You
Hello and welcome to HCM, The term 'Findings' in a MRI means the relevant changes or alterations from the normal architecture or structure in the particular joint, muscle, tendon, cartilage, organ or body cavity. The term 'Impression' means the most probable disease or abnormality after correlating all the findings.
