What Is The Difference Between Ibuprofen And Famotidine?

I HAD BACK SURGERY 5/19/2015. DrTOLD ME TO QUIT iBPROFIN WHICH I HAD BEEN ON FOR PAST 8 YRS for chronic pain from foot surgery. Primary care Dr had me on ibprofin. Spine Dr told me to stop that and take Alieve. I have taken that for 1 week instead of the ibprofin. Due to straining for bowel movement I caused sciatic nerve to hurt very very much. I cannot sit as it hurts if I am not medicated . Saw pain specialist today and am scheduled for 2 shots next Thursday. She gave me Duexis and said to take the next 5 days until I get the shots in my back. What is the difference between ibprofin with famotidine and Alieve?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, as long as the NSAID (Non Steroid Anti-Inflammatory Drugs) are concern they all are same in their mode of action and this may not take any difference either you take any one from it let be Ibuprofen or any other molecule of same group, are hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day
