What Is The Complete Recovery Time For Head Reeling?

Hi, doctor near 2 or 3 months before early in the morning suddenly i got attacked with head reeling. Then vomtings started after few time i went to doctor and he gave some medicine then it stops. I thought that it will not come again but suddenly 2 weeks before it happens again so i went to doctor again then he suggested me to go to neurologist so i went to doctor and he asked me to take MRI scan. The scanning report is perfectly alright then he gave some medicines, but there is no cure. so some of friend suggested me to go to ENT surgen and i went to him. He gave some medicines and now i am feeling some better not completely. so my question is how long it takes to complete cure.

Neurologist 's  Response
Hello,

From what I understand it is an ear related vertigo. The answer to your question depends on the ear structure involved, you should have asked the ENT specialist what part was responsible, the type of vertigo, whether due to free particles in the canals or infection of the nerve.

Referring to the two most common types, benign paroxysmal vertigo the most common usually subsides in a couple of weeks but may recur from time to time (more likely in your cases). Vestibular neuritis is a usually single event, more severe initially with returning to normal taking up to 3 months, even 6 months in some cases.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olsi Taka,
Neurologist
