What Is The Cause Of Fever, Paleness And Noisy Breathing In A Child?
its my son.age 1yr 4mnth.He is running consistent high temp in the upper limb area:head,chest,abdomen.A little pale.The heart is beating faster than normal and there was this initial sound in the lung area.The noise has disappeared now.I ave adminstered oral ampliclox (2 doses in 12hrs),pcm and alaxin(an antimalaria).As at this nite the temp has not gone down much.What should I do next.
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. Fever of few days without any localizing signs could as well a viral illness. Usually rather than fever, what is more important is the activity of the child, in between 2 fever episodes on the same day. If the kid is active and playing around when there is no fever, it is probably viral illness and it doesn't require antibiotics at all. Once viral fever comes it will there for 4-7 days. So do not worry about duration if the kid is active.
PLEASE DO NOT SELF MEDICATE WITH ANTIBIOTICS AND ANTIMALARIALS LIKE THIS.
