What Is The Cause Of Bruising At The Needle Insertion Site?

I recently had my blood drawn to screen for diabetes and to check cholesterol levels. After the vlood test, at the site of he needle insertion, my arm was bruised and painful. Now i have a twitch at the same site as well that wont stop. What if any is this a indication of?

A small amount of bruising may occur at blood drawn site which need not be worried for. But if u have a large bruising it may be because of delayed clotting and coagulation of blood.. I suggest you get checked for your coagulation profile once..
