What Is The Cause Of An Inflamed Salivary Gland?

Hello, I got a stick of oregano stuck in my salary gland last week, I went to the dentist and they told me that it looks like it had come out as he couldn´t find anything. I´m a little worried as a week later its still inflamed, however I have no pain at all. Is this normal as the mouth takes a long time to heal?

thanks for your query, i have gone through your query, the inflammation could be because of the bacterial infection...or it can be secondary to the stone present in the duct.. consult a oral physician and take a course o antibiotics and analgesics.. you have to take radiographs like puffed PA view and may need to go for sialography if needed.. i hope my answer will help you.. take care..
