What Is The Cause For Me To Get Chest Pain Which Is Painful While Breathing ?

Hi there, Every once in a while I will have extreme pain in the left side of my chest as if it is coming from my heart . The first time I remember it happening was maybe a little over 2 years ago. I used to think maybe it is growing pains but now I doubt it; I am 20 years old. The pain lasts no more than 5 minutes and while it is happening if I slowly breath it does not hurt as much but when I breath like i normally would it is very painful. thanks!

Hi,
THe heart pain is mostly bihind sternum(chest bone),It may radiate to left shoulder or neckor epigastrium.it's associated with sweating.
Now you will realise, the pain you have can not be cardiac,so please leave taking tension. get a cardiologist's advice &get rid of the fear.& be happy.
Simple indigestion &gases can produce such symtoms.you can try a digestive tonic like Vitazyme-2 spoons twice a day after food . it will give you relief.

Hello.Welcome to HCM forum.Cardiac pain doesn't have any relation with breathing and is unaffected by it.Your pain looks like muscular or due to costochondritis.Consult your doctor and take some medicine.you will be alright.Thanks and good luck.
