What Is The Cause For A Small Bruise On The Inner Side Of The Knee Hat Hurts When Touched?

HI
I keep getting a small bruise on the inner side of my knee. it hurts to touch and goes away in a few days only to return again and again. My knee bothers me lately, but not in any one spot. I have stopped doing squats at the gym. I run a lot but it never hurts when I run. Should I be concerned? I have a great sports doc but he does not take my insurance and it costs me a fortune to see him and I just had a stress fracture in second metatarsal so saw him a lot.
thanks

Hello,
Thanks for your query.

Small bruise on the inner side of the knee seems to be due to muscle strain due to running. Give adequate rest to the involved muscle group and avoid any movement that causes pain.Ice packing once in every 2 hours over the affected area. Always warm up before running.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
