What Is The Best Procedure To Remove Ingrown Toe Nail During 8th Week Of Pregnancy?

Hi, I have had problems with ingrown toes nails for a couple of years. I am pregnant and want toes nails removed. Worried about the anaesthetic, my podiatrist was going to use merpevercaine but by doctors suggested ropevercaine? What's best, I will be 8 weeks pregnant when I'm thinking of having it done. Or is it best to wait till 12 weeks?

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this problem that you have with your toes. Both drugs serve as anesthetic agents and would help prevent you from feeling pains during the procedure. They present no particular danger to your unborn child. Also, this is a very minor procedure and considered very safe even during pregnancy. There is no reason for you not to get it whenever you want with either drugs as there are no dangers fro the procedure or drugs to your unborn child.

I hope you find this helpful. Thank you so much for using our services and please do feel free to ask for clarifications if need be. I wish you well with this procedure and also a safe pregnancy.
