What Is The Best Medicine For High Blood Pressure?

I am taking Losarten for high blood pressure. I started on 25 mg many years ago, then was increased to 50 mg several months ago, with basically no effect. Now the dose has been doubled, (100mg) and my blood pressure has not decreased. What would you suggest?

hi
thanks for posting in HCM
I have understand your concern

if you have mentioned your numbers , helps me better .

you have reached maximum dose of losartan but still pressures are high.

I can suggest you some tests
1.renal function tests
2.eye examination
3. USG abdomen to look for any renal artery stenosis
4.TSH
5.lipid profile
6.ECG

meanwhile follow the things like
1.salt restricted diet
2.regular walking
3.change losartan to tab.losar-H once in the morning
3.tab.cynidip 10 mg twice a day

if we get some clue from above tests were can change the treatment.

hope this helps you.

get back to me with reports.

thanks.
