What Is Significance Of Fluid Filled Bowel Loops?
Hi, I got sudden pain in my lower abdomen followed by complete loose motion. After passing stool, the pain subsided but this pain is still not gone. I did a abdomen ultrasound, in which the conclusion is "Fluid Filled Bowle Loops" in the Intestine. I am advised with some antibiotics like Cetrogel and O2. I am getting mild sudden pains above the naval area. My stool is also not normal. Can you pls advise what is the significance of ""Fluid Filled Bowle Loops".

Fluid filled bowel loops on ultrasound implies that the intestines show presence of fluid. This can result from mild infection causing the pain in abdomen. Since there is no abnormal dilated bowel loops, I do not consider it as a serious finding. Please take soft home cooked diet for a few days.
