What Is My Test Report Suggestive Of?

could you explain my test result :1. Patchy, streaky, and nodular opacity right lower lobe with a 9 mm nodular       component. Findings are nonspecific, but likely related to pneumonia and/or       atelectasis, as opposed to neoplastic. Recommend follow-up plain films in 2-4       weeks after resolution of symptoms and treatment.             Total Exam Dose Length Product 100.3 mGy-cm.

Hi
It means that the x-ray findings shows an opacity in your right lower lobe which could be consolidation or maybe even atelectasis which is collapse of a group of alveoli in that segment.
Patchy opacity and 9mm nodule says that it is an active lesion probably infective etiology.
However it could also be cancerous etiology but chances are less likely. All the findings are quite non specific and maybe your doctor would be able to correlate the report with clinical findings and reach a conclusion. You'd need to do follow up scans or preferably CT thorao for a final diagnosis.
