What Is My Renal Bladder Ultrasound Result Suggestive Of?
Hi, i recently had a renal bladder ultrasound, which provided the following results: it showed I had Bilateral Extrarenal Pelves. I have had a complete hysterectomy within the past year as I was found to have stage 1A Uterine Cancer. Lately I have had a lot of pain in the area and I took this test. Im happy the results don t show anything that appears bad on the surface, but am confused as to what the bilateral extra renal pelves means and is it something that needs treatment or surgery, or something I was simply born with? thanks
The presence of the extrarenal pelvis is a normal variant and it does not cause any problem or its not a problem so do not worry about it.
The reason for your pain might be something else, for the best advice I would suggest you see a urologist and give your detailed history and after doing a physical examination, it requires he might ask you to undergo some diagnostic tests to find out underlying cause for the pain that you are experiencing. As well as he will prescribe you appropriate medicines for the pain relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar,
