What Is Best Treatment For Flailing Arm Syndrome, Torticollis, Fibromyalgia,

What is best treatment for flailing arm syndrome, torticollis, fibromyalgia, restless legs syndrome, chronic fatigue, bilateral RSI, lumbosacral spinal arthritis? Pain I suffer is excruciating, even blinking and breathing. Dystonia causes me to walk "like a dork". Have had this disgusting condition since 2004 - trauma-based when I moved from the Gold Coast to Sydney. Also contracted fibromyalgia 1997 moving house.

Fast directional change is a bother, such that I hit walls, doors, cupboards, shoulder adduction paying for purchases in a shop has my face centimetres from a surface. Recently had mild muscle paralysis in upper legs from 1 Sifrol tablet. Sydney neurologist had not seen the phenomenon of dystonia only in the forward walk. Invited to appear before a panel of 8 neurologists at St George Private Hospital, Kogarah. They had no suggestions.

Upon moving to Canberra June 2009, I have been seen by Dr. C. Das, Dr. R. Malhotra, Dr. Y. Gawarikar and Associate Professor C. Das - all neurologists. Understandably reticent to administer botox after Dr. Clouston's opinion; so I asked may I try as I have nothing to lose. As a result, I now eat bread as it used to become stuck from dysphagia (videofluoroscopy revealed severely delayed swallow initiation). Saliva overload from dysphagia helped to a minor degree by botox. Wonder if DBS operation an answer, which I realise is radical and expensive surgery. Dr. S. Tisch @ St. Vincent's Private Hospital will perform this if I am able to afford. Awaiting my health fund to contact re. their contribution - Medicare pays 75%; Medibank Private a measly 25%.

I respectfully seek any help you can provide.

Warm wishes and many thanks,

Lorna Dyke
