What Is A Red, Slightly Swollen Patch On The Glans Penis Suggestive Of?

Hi, I am having a silent patch growing on my glans. I noticed this a month before when it was a small red spot. thought it would be some injury or something. but it started growing in diameter. No irritation or any other effects. It seems like something is happening under the upper layer of the skin of my penis glans. i am totally worried about it though its not causing any irritation. when penis glans is exposed for some time as it get dried the affected area gets more wrinkles than on the unaffected area. When the foreskin is retracted, the affected area looks more shinning. The periphery or the boundary of the infection(not sure) is more dark and slightly raised or swollen. i contacted one of my friend who is a doctor. He suggested Candid cream and i used it regularly for one week. But the patch seems to have no effect. I left it for more than a 2 weeks after thinking it would be some skin repair or something as central area seems fully recovered. But the patch is growing over my glans. Then with reference to an online forum i have taken Fluconozole 150mg 3 days back and candid cream for 2 days. Still, it has no effect on the growth of the patch. Please help. Thank you.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As first-line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Shinas Hussain,
