What Is A Bruise Under The Incision Site Post Laparoscopy Suggestive Of?

Hi. I had a laparoscopy for an ectopic pregnancy 10 days ago. Today was my first day back at work and I started coughing when I was picking something up. I felt a searing pain on my side and felt like a pop. Now there is new bruising under my incision site. I did call my doctor and he didn t seem concerned, but I am still feeling like something isn t right. Could I have pulled at stitch and what should I be looking out for me if I did? Or should I just stop worrying?

Hello There

After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that popped pain can be because of exertional activity and there is actually no big concern about pain. You can drink plenty of fluids and antacids.

Hopefully this information will guide you properly.

Kind Regards
Dr Bhanu Partap
