What Is A Bite Mark On Back Causing Sharp Pain Suggestive Of?

I have a bite on my back from about 11-12 days ago. It has sharp pain coming from it and has gotten worse. The first symptoms I had were extreme fatigue, flu like symptoms, numbness is my hands at night. 5 days ago my eyes were really swollen. The bite appears to have developed another bump next to it. I saw a dr 2 days ago and was put on Doxycycline ( thinking it was perhaps Lyme Disease) although the area was not a classic bulls eye, it did resemble one. I would like to know if you have any idea what bite me and where should I go from here? Thank you

Hello,

It could be a tick. Not all ticks will have bull's eye mark when they bite so don't worry you are on the correct treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Harshita, Ophthalmologist
