What Dosage Of Ativan Be Taken While On Coversyl?

I am on 8 mg of coversyl a day for high bp. I suffer from anxiety and am quitting daily alcohol drinking. Is it ok to take some Ativan as needed to help with withdrawals and stress etc? If so, what is a recommended dosage of Ativan while on coversyl?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is safe to take Ativan along with Coversyl. Ativan is usually started at the lowest dose i.e., 0.5 mg and dosage can be increased on weekly basis upto 2-4 mg/day at bedtime as needed. Ativan should not be taken without consulting your doctor first.

Hope this answers your question. Please let me know if you need further clarification.

Regards,
