What Does Ultrasound State About Endometrium?

I am 37, one child, not on birth control pill. I didn't get my period for the second month now, took 4 HPT's, all negative. One blood pregnancy test at the hospital - negative as well. Today I got an Ultrasound and the technician said that there is "definitely something going on", and he said something about the endometrium was 1,5 cm. He couldn't confirm that I was pregnant but told me to come back in two weeks, if I wouldn't get my period by then. What could be the cause of all that? I don't really feel pregnant except that I am very tired.

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The possibilities of what tech has noticed could be - a anechoic / round cystic / collection.
2.This is seen in very early pregnancy status - like less than 5 weeks gestation. In this case it is recommended to get a followup scan in two weeks to see any changes.
3.But blood and urine test are negative - possibilities to have a pregnancy are almost nill.
4.In could be some inflammatory change in the endometrium with collection and thickened endometrium.
5.In any case you need to get a followup scan in two weeks time to see if any changes, hormonal treatment would help.

Good luck.
Hope i have answered your query,
